3 EASY STEPS TO NATURALLY GORGEOUS LASHES

Hi there, my darlings! Today, we're talking about my best feature: my eyes. I wish I could say my best feature were my perfectly pouty lips or a stunningly bright smile but from what I hear, it's my eyes. Since the eyes ARE the windows to the soul, I'll take it and take it gladly! Now, while I do believe I do have pretty eyes in shape and color, my lashes are another story. They're not non-existent by any means but...they could use some help. I definitely didn't get my father's lush lashes--my sister inherited those. But with the right tools, my lashes look really great and yours can too! Let's take a look at 3 easy steps to help us with just that.

STEP 1: NOURISH

with Amalie Beauty's Wink Lash and Brow Enhancing Oil ($40.00)

Wink is a natural lash and brow enhancing oil, aimed at helping restore your natural beauty. We've all done it--we've picked at our mascara, forgotten to take make-up off before bed, or over-tweezed. All of this adds up over time. Regardless of how you've treated your lashes and brows in the past, this hypoallergenic beauty oil will give lashes and brows a more lush, full appearance. Don't fake it; enhance your natural beauty with Wink.

I've been looking for a good lash growth serum for quite awhile now and when the opportunity came along to test this one out, the first thing I did was read the ingredients list. The very first on the list is Castor Oil and that sold me right off the bat. Castor Oil is known for stimulating hair growth and Indian mothers have been talking about it for years. Now, I admit it, this is a pricey beauty addition but if you read that ingredient list, you know it's worth it. Infused with ingredients such as Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil along with the Castor Oil, this serum will condition as well as stimulate growth. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I already notice a difference--my lashes are softer AND longer. The fact that this little tube is a 2 month's supply makes it seem all that more worthwhile to me!

STEP 2: CURL

with Chella Beauty's Heated Eyelash Curler ($22.00)

Hello Lashy Lady. Here's a real eye opener for the girl who would love to have the curl but has had it up to here with the crimping, pinching, and breaking of traditional hinged lash curlers. Now you can warm your way up to lashes that really get noticed. This sleek, safe and gentle heating wand delivers maximum curl where you want it without damaging your eyelashes. Beautiful!

I have pin-straight lashes. That means they grow perpendicular to my face. No curl whatsoever. Traditional lash curlers make me nervous. Not that I haven't tried them, because I have and ended up painfully pinching my eyelids. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. So, I decided to take my chances with this handy little device--much less intimidating in my mind. And boy, does it work! Easy to use, lightweight and incredibly portable, this battery-operated curler takes just 30 seconds to warm up and is perfect for a girl on the go! Best part? Totally pain-free! You just kind of hold it against your lashes and work upwards, much like a curling iron and you can use it before or after you apply mascara.

STEP 3: DRAMATIZE!

with Make Up For Ever's Excessive Lash Mascara ($25.00)

Excessive Lash creates long lasting panoramic volume that fans out for a truly dramatic, eye-opening effect.

A good mascara is a girl like me's best friend and worth every single penny we spend on it. But, when I pulled out the wand on this, I have to admit I was a little skeptical. I mean, it's so...compact. Tiny, even. How was such a small wand supposed to give me dramatic volume? Well, by layering it on, that's how! Just one coat of this smooth, velvety formula really opens up the eyes and gives the illusion of length. Another coat or two and you've got all the volume you could ask for...and then some!

Here are the results! Proof is in the pudding!

So there you have it, my darlings! My new faves for gorgeous, natural lashes!
