SALLY HANSEN Making Mauves, Orange Zest and Set Sail for Spring 2015 : Swatches and Review

Hi there, my darlings! Bright and early this gorgeous Wednesday morning, I have for you some exciting polish news and pretty swatches to share--Sally Hansen has introduced not one, not two, but FOURTEEN gorgeous new shades for Spring 2015, in their much-loved Insta-Dri three-in-one (basecoat, color and topcoat all in one bottle) formula! Today, I have three super pretty shades to share with you all that are perfect for warmer, brighter Spring days! Take a look!

Making Mauves is a shimmery nude/beige/neutral with a slightly frosted finish--such a hard color to place and yes it does have a touch of a mauve undertone. Although a little brush-strokey to begin with, this levels out quite nicely but the third coat--the swatches below show 3 thin coats by itself. This is such a flattering neutral shade!

Orange Zest is a super bright orange creme. Now I did have a bit of trouble with the formula of this one--it's quite streaky being an almost-neon shade but 3 thin coats as shown below and the color payoff is phenomenal. And oh-so-shiny, even with no topcoat! Such a bright, happy shade!

Set Sail is a gorgeous cornflower blue creme that is hands-down my new favorite Spring blue. Fantastic formula and application--this can totally be a one-coater depending on how you paint. The swatches below show 2 thin coats, more out of habit than anything else. I am SO in love with this polish!

So there you have it, my darlings! If you would like to pick up any of these beauties yourself, you can find them at your local CVSRiteAidWalgreensWalmartKmart or Ulta (among other fine retailers) for the price of $4.99 (prices may vary in different states) . 2. OOoooh I love all of these. Wish we had Insta-Dri in the UK, I have to rely on eBay for my fixes!
