PIXI + WEYLIE HOANG COLLABORATION: DIMENSIONAL EYE CREATOR KIT

Hi there, my darlings! Let me just tell you about my weekend. No, no, it wasn't exciting. Quite the contrary. It was a Netflix and...plop kinda weekend. Where I pretty much ate, napped, watched Netflix...and repeated, all the way up until yesterday. Thankfully, a spurt of energy today allows me to have swatches up and ready to share with you. And don't get me wrong, I've been excited about this launch from the minute I heard about it and this week, I can show you why. Presenting the first of three influencer collaborations with Pixi Beauty, dubbed the #PixiPretties collection. First up, Pixi's collaboration with Weylie Hoang!

Highlight and define for the ultimate dimensional eyes. Pigmented, blendable eye shades in a portable palette curated by Weylie are teamed up with a 2-in-1 black kohl pencil and liquid eyeliner duo to make this kit the perfect everyday eye essential. (This product is not eligible for promotion.)

If you like neutral shades, this pretty little palette will be your new best friend! Personally, I prefer bolder shades so this baby is going to be passed on to a very close friend who LOVES neutrals. With 3 shimmers and 3 matte shades in warm, toasty shades, you could definitely go from a softer, day look to a more shimmery, night look with this palette. The shades themselves are very easy to work with and the texture of the shadows is what pleased me the most--velvety smooth with very little fallout, I'm very impressed with both how well they applied and how easy it was to blend into my skin!

Here's a close-up at the double-sided liner that is included with this kit. One end is a tapered kohl pencil and the other is a felt tip liquid liner.

Now, this one's a keeper! I LOVE the sharp point to the felt tip that allows for precision and control when creating my favored cat-eyes and winger liner looks. The pencil was a little too hard for my lower waterline where I usually use kohl pencils so either I'll stick to lining my upper lashline or try the lighter trick (you know, where you soften your pencils by GENTLY heating them in the flame of a lighter). For me though, when it comes to a black liner, I want them dark as night. Which the liquid is. The pencil...eh, not so much. But, it'll do for lazier days when I just line my eyes with a pencil, maybe smudge a bit with a Q-tip and....run out the door!
